Social Studies

The social studies department is composed of ten highly-qualified educators. Nine of our teachers currently hold one or more graduate degrees, two have been awarded National Board Certification, six hold South Carolina’s "Gifted and Talented” endorsement, six hold one or more Advanced Placement endorsements, and two have been recognized as “Teachers of the Year.”

Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds which serve to enrich classroom experiences. Some previous careers of our faculty include sheriff's deputy,  college instructor, firefighter, museum education coordinator, technical writing, and military service. Additionally, two teachers in our department are bilingual. 

Together, our department looks forward to helping your child succeed and mature into a productive, participating, and contributing citizen.
