English

All English courses follow the South Carolina Standards for English. Those standards are located on the SC State Department of Education website, www.ed.sc.gov.

Students must take and pass an English class every year to earn a SC High School Diploma. They are also required to pass English to be promoted every year.

PLEASE NOTE: At the end of all English II classes, there is an End-of-Course-Test which accounts for 20% of a student’s grade as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
