English IV

English III

Teacher Cadet

Greetings! I am currently teaching an English IV block class, 2 English IV year-long classes, English III (IAS), and Teacher Cadets. It is my pleasure to work with students and parents throughout the school year.

I haven't always been a teacher. When I first graduated from Coker College, I worked as director of purchasing for a small office supply company. I then went back to Coker College but this time as an employee, where I worked as an admissions counselor. Working as an admissions counselor is what led me to my career as a teacher. I realized that I love working with students, and I wanted to work in a capacity where I could help them realize their goals and dreams. Teaching English allows me to teach a subject about which I am passionate while also helping students learn about themselves and the world around them.

I am married to Collin Liggett who is also a teacher. He teaches physical education at Summit Parkway Middle School, and he is the varsity baseball coach at Spring Valley High School. Our family has recently grown, as we had twin girls, Hudson and Wylie, in March, 2011.

We are going to have a wonderful year at Ridge View High School!
