Parent/Student Contract
We understand that the Ridge View Scholars Academy is a rigorous academic program designed to challenge academically gifted and motivated students.
We understand that success in this program requires significant teamwork and the joint effort of parents, teachers and students.
We understand that the rigor of the program may necessitate that some students will be required to receive tutoring provided by the Scholars Academy faculty or advanced students in the program.
We understand that these high standards for success are designed to ensure that the student who successfully completes this program is competitive in the admissions process of the most selective colleges and universities in the nation.
We understand that the Scholars Academy is a learning community, and that learning takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. Scholars Academy members are expected to be active participants in the Academy's activities, the school environment, and in the outside community.
We understand that in order for a student to receive a Scholars Academy diploma and special recognition at the Ridge View High School graduation ceremony, a student must successfully complete the prescribed course of study and demonstrate commitment to the ideals of the Scholars Academy through participation in its activities.
