About Miss Sandbrink
After growing up in Central Ohio, I went to school at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY in the Fall of 2001. While there, I was an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and served as Vice-President of the local chapter; I also volunteered and served as Team Leader for Appalachian Ministries, working with less fortunate children in the Appalachian Mountains, and team member and director of Sidewalk Chalk, a traveling drama/minitry team. While in college, I also worked at Barnes and Noble College Bookstore, The Cumberland Inn, and The Hagan Memorial Library.
After completing my degree in Special Education, and earning the distinction of a Hutton Scholar, in January of 2006, I worked as a long- and short-term substitute teacher in Corbin, Kentucky. In May of 2006, I accepted my current position at Ridge View High School and earned my South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Multicategorical Special Education. Since working at Ridge View, I have served one year as the Step Team Sponsor, and have taken several Master's Level courses, and other Professional Development courses.
