Educational Mantra:
Children don't care
how much you know,
until they know
how much you care!
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to Physical Science at Ridge View High School – Home of the Blazers! A place where you can see how the VIEW is changing! It is now time to charge into yet another opportunity made available for you here in Richland School District Two.
Physical Science Course Description
Through the use of extensive problem solving exercises, and laboratory work, this course emphasizes the basic concepts of physical science. Topics presented include measurement, laboratory safety and techniques, properties of matter, atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical bonding, nuclear science, motion, work and power, waves, light, color and sound. A state mandated End Of Course Test (EOC T) must be given to every student enrolled in this course, and the score will count 20% of the final grade.
Class Expectations: All students should:
- Respect the teacher’s right to teach and the student’s right to learn.
- The Academic Integrity Policy will be enforced in my class at all times.
